I established TORQUATO DRILLING ACCESSORIES back in 1982 with my goal to offer a complete line of drilling bits. I started with what I knew best at the time, DIAMOND CORE DRILLING BITS. Soon thereafter I branched out and added new products such as Tricone Bits and DTH Hammer Bits. I grew my business slowly and steadily by offering the best quality products available at the lowest possible prices.
Today after having been in business for close to (30) years I have the same goal. I continue to expand my product line to include bits and consumables needed by the various industries I serve. I maintain my initial pledge to supply only the best quality products at the most competitive prices possible.
During the past few years our focus has changed and we are now very actively engaged in the ENERGY industry. In particular, the rapidly expanding NATURAL GAS industry offers many new and exciting opportunities for a dedicated and dependable supplier. My product line has changed somewhat and TORQUATO DRILLING ACCESSORIES has become an innovator in the field of PDC drilling tools. PDC stands for “Polycrystalline Diamond Compacts”. These are round high performance cutters that feature a thin diamond layer which makes them very effective for drilling rock. PDC tools were first used in deep oil well drilling with great success. We have taken this technology and adapted it to new markets and now offer a very comprehensive line of PDC drilling tools for a much broader range of customers.
With many years of experience in the drilling industry, I have designed and introduced a broad new range of PDC products which are changing the way drillers drill. Our Silver Bullet PDC Bits, for example, now allow geothermal drillers to drill more holes in less time than ever before. Our customers in other industries enjoy these same benefits. We now offer tools to enable our customers to increase their drilling production rates which results in significant cost savings.
One of the most exciting tools I designed is my Plugbuster. This is a very unique PDC drilling tool designed specifically for the advanced drilling procedures in the natural gas industry. Simply speaking,
my Plugbuster has been designed to drill out the frac plugs used in the final stages of completing every gas well drilled. The Plugbuster has now been used by several of the major gas drillers with outstanding success. This tool has allowed them to drill out more frac plugs in less time than with any other product. That’s saying something. Not only do we drill them faster, but we drill more plugs than other bits can drill. Recently we completed one horizontal gas well containing (38) frac plugs! As the Plugbuster's reputation spreads we are adding new customers at a good pace. I can say with confidence that my Plugbuster is the best bit on the market for this important purpose.
From the very beginning back in 1982 I have had a “hands-on” approach in growing my business. I enjoy speaking with my customers and offering my recommendations on getting them the best drilling performance possible. I don’t have annoying salesmen knocking on doors. I don’t have guys in pick-up trucks visiting job sites with a load of junk trying to sell used bits and tools. Instead we invite our customers to speak withus directly either in person, on the telephone or on the internet. Our knowledge and experience is at their disposal and we enjoy sharing ideas and concepts with the drilling professionals we serve.
