HDD Pilot Bits and Reamers

Horizontal Directional Drilling Pilot Bits and Reamers by Torquato Drilling Accessories provide improved pilot hole drilling performance for the DIRECTIONAL DRILLING industry. Torquato HDD PDC PILOT BITS are designed for consistent high speed drilling of horizontal pilot holes in consolidated rock formations including sandstone, limestone and shale.

Standard 5-1/2” and 6-1/2” HDD PILOT BITS feature our popular 5-blade design with premium
13mm PDC cutters for effective rock drilling performance.

Unlike traditional milled tooth roller cone bits, our HDD PDC PILOT BITS AND REAMERS have no moving parts. Our 1-piece premium alloy steel bit body is much more robust than three cone milled tooth roller cone bits and are able to be operated at much higher rotation speeds to significantly improve drilling rates. Our SILVER BULLET HDD PDC PILOT BITS AND REAMERS give the operator much longer runs and considerably longer bit service life than other bit types.

It is not uncommon for our SILVER BULLET HDD PILOT BITS to drill as much as 10,000 feet!

Silver Bullet HDD Reamers are manufactured to customer’s requirements. We have the ability to produce HDD Reamers up to 18” diameter. The strong 1-piece design incorporates a tapered profile which provides stability throughout the reaming process.
